Welcome to the Green AV forum. Over the course of 2008 InfoComm will facilitate the establishment of special interest groups (SIGS) to provide our members and the AV industry the forum to discuss specific topics of interest. The guidelines around forming a SIG are simple. You need five InfoComm members to express an interest in the subject and three of those to committ to moderate. Moderators are responsible for admitting new members, establishing an agenda of topics for consideration, moderating discussions of topics, and for restricting use of the SIG to the issues on the agenda. As several of you have expressed an interest in getting this Green AV SIG going we are providing this forum tool for you to begin your discussions. As we move forward InfoComm will be providing an enriched envirornment to facilitate SIGS as well as other social networking tools. At that time we'll migrate this conversation to that enviornment providing you with many other capabilities to extend your conversations. When we do that the conversations here may not archive in the new tool but because we know this is such an important topic we established this forum to get you started now.
